Coffee
Salt of the Earth proudly serves Contreras Coffee. This coffee comes directly from Contreras family farms in the mountains of Honduras and is grown naturally without pesticides or fertilizers. The bushes grow in the shade of native banana, plantain, orange, lemon, cedar and mahogany trees. Berries are picked and put through a machine that splits the berry from the bean, then are washed and placed on a cement patio to dry in the sun. The green beans are shipped to west Michigan and then roasted locally in smaller quantities to ensure fresh, quality coffee. We use Contreras coffees at dinner service and in our espresso, cappuccino, lattes, and specialty coffee drinks. Contreras Coffee is also available for purchase by the pound during bakery and dinner business hours.
